I started by researching into Disney animated movies, for instance, Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty. In these stories, princesses are quite fragile, waiting to be rescued by princes. They share the same ending: living happily with a prince. I intended to break the fixed situation and the stereotyped image of females. I wanted to tell people females are more than tools for housekeeping, marriage life and childbearing. It was my hope to devise a new story based on Cinderella by combining the requirement of figures and the prejudice against females.
